About Us

Purpose Cassandra’s Cure for Cancer Foundation, Inc. was incorporated in September 2010 as a non-profit organization in the state of Wisconsin.  Its purpose is to honor the memory of Cassandra Brown through sponsoring charitable events from which all proceeds will be donated to 501(c)(3) medical and research organizations in efforts to aid in finding a cure for  pancreatic cancer.  Cassandra was diagnosed with this disease in December 2008. For more than a year, Cassandra gracefully battled her disease, showing her strength and being a role model to us all.  Unlike many diagnosed with this disease, she was blessed with several  months of happy times, leaving an everlasting footprint in the lives of those around her.  In March of 2010, Cassandra’s fight was over. The Cassandra’s Cure for Cancer Foundation was created as a legacy and tribute to her.

Leadership Cassandra’s Cure for Cancer Foundation, Inc. was created by her surviving family members: Maurice Brown, Sr. (husband), Maurice “Mo” Brown, Jr. (son), and Jacqueline B. Martin (daughter).

Fundraising Details Cassandra’s Cure for Cancer Foundation, Inc. does not spend money on office space and none of our Board Members are paid.  The sole goal is to sponsor events which will provide an outlet for donations to be collected from which proceeds will go directly to the purpose of the organization.
